GoMingle
A game that sits on top of dinner instead of taking it over. Three minutes at a time.
Are you the host?
You get a code the others type in. The evening disappears by itself after twelve hours.
What is GoMingle?
GoMingle is a party game for dinners where everyone plays in their phone's browser, three minutes at a time, and then goes back to the food.
The host creates an evening and gets a six-digit code, the others type it in, and no app, account or main screen is needed.
How it works
-
The host creates an evening
Tap Create an evening. You get a six-digit code to read out around the table.
-
Everyone types the code
Each person goes to gomingle.fun on their phone, types the code and picks a name and a character. It takes half a minute.
-
The host runs a round when it suits
Between courses, while waiting for coffee, when the table goes quiet. A round takes at most three minutes, then it's dinner again.
The mini-games
-
Secret challenge
Every player gets a secret task to carry out unnoticed during the whole evening. When the evening ends, everyone guesses who had what, and points go to those who pulled it off quietly and to those who guessed right.
-
Physical mission
Everyone gets the same mission with the same countdown, like finding three red things and putting them on the table. The host decides who made it. The point is that everyone gets up from the table.
-
Dare each other
Pick someone at the table and send them a challenge. They can do it, use their only veto of the evening, or send it back so the sender has to do it instead.
-
The Bluff at least 3 players
Everyone gets the same secret word, except the bluffer who only gets the category. Going around the table, each person says a word related to the secret one, then you vote on who is bluffing.
-
Who is it? at least 3 players
Everyone secretly writes something unexpected about themselves. The host sends out one statement at a time and the others guess who it is about.
-
The Rating at least 3 players
One player gets a secret rating between 1 and 10. The others ask which dish, city or outfit gets that rating, then guess the number. There is a reverse version too, where everyone but one knows the rating.
-
Team Mission at least 5 players
The table splits into teams that all get the same mission: a photo, a video, a build or a hiding spot. You use your own cameras, nothing is uploaded, and the host judges when time is up.

Common questions
How many can play?
Two to twenty. The Bluff, The Rating and Who is it? need at least three players, Team Mission at least five.
How long does it take?
A round takes at most three minutes. The evening lasts as long as you like, the host ends it when it suits.
Does everyone need the same phone or an app?
No. The browser is enough, Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android both work. Nothing needs to be installed.
Does it cost anything?
No. GoMingle is free.
Does it work without internet?
No, every phone needs a connection. But no main screen or TV is needed.
What happens to my data?
Nothing is stored except the name you choose, and it is deleted together with the evening after twelve hours. No accounts, no tracking.
Can children play?
Yes. Family mode is the default and everything works for eight- and eighty-year-olds. The host can choose adult mode, which is cheekier. Nobody is forced to drink.
